Welcome to Parker Bible Church!
Where people are excited about God’s Word.
PBC is a fellowship of believers that is focused on fulfilling God’s purpose and plan for the local church as revealed in God’s Word. We believe in the absolute authority, sufficiency, and infallibility of the Word of God. It is our high view of Scripture that provides the foundation upon which every area of ministry is built.
At PBC, we embrace expository preaching, that is, teaching that exposes the meaning of the text of Scripture and applies it to life. Our goal is to honor Christ by equipping people with the necessary tools for living godly lives, raising godly families, serving and loving the family of God, and sharing the Gospel of Christ with a lost world.
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.” – 2 Peter 1:2-3
PBC OCTOBER NEWS
From Your Pastor’s Heart
If you have not already voted, I hope you plan to do so this week. This is one thing all of us should do to make a godly impact for our nation. I don’t believe the church should get distracted from its primary purpose to the degree that we are only focused on political and social change. But I do believe that all of us should vote our convictions and stand for biblical righteousness. I encourage you to go to the polls this week. Even though this is not a presidential election, it is still one that has important ramifications for our state and nation. Ultimately it is the gospel that will make the difference, and apart from true revival our country is in danger of enduring the wrath of God. Let’s at least do what we can.
Some of you have been asking about the next orientation class. It will begin on November 2, but it will be held at the church office instead of the main building. We are doing this to free up a classroom for the silent auction. If you have not gone through this class, or you have not yet made the commitment to membership, I encourage you to join us for this session (Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23). – Pastor KIrk.
The Importance of Lord’s Supper
We will be observing the Lord’s Supper this morning. This is the commemoration and proclamation of Jesus Christ’s death. It is representative of the sacrifice of Christ. This time should always be preceded by solemn self-examination (1 Corinthians 11:28-32).
Silent Auction starts Oct. 26
The Silent Auction begins today in rooms 107-108. Remember, the money raised from the Silent Auction benefits the Women’s Ministry of PBC!
Daylight Savings Time Ends/Fall Back – Nov. 1
Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night before you go to bed. Enjoy an extra hour of sleep before Sunday worship next week!
PBC Orientation Class – Nov. 2
