Welcome to Parker Bible Church!
Where people are excited about God’s Word.

PBC is a fellowship of believers that is focused on fulfilling God’s purpose and plan for the local church as revealed in God’s Word. We believe in the absolute authority, sufficiency, and infallibility of the Word of God.  It is our high view of Scripture that provides the foundation upon which every area of ministry is built.

At PBC, we embrace expository preaching, that is, teaching that exposes the meaning of the text of Scripture and applies it to life.  Our goal is to honor Christ by equipping people with the necessary tools for living godly lives, raising godly families, serving and loving the family of God, and sharing the Gospel of Christ with a lost world.

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.” – 2 Peter 1:2-3

PBC April News

From Your Pastor’s Heart
For several years, it has been a tradition at PBC to observe the Lord’s Supper on Palm Sunday. That seems to be a natural connection because it was shortly after the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem that He established the Lord’s Supper before facing the cross.

Some years we have tied the meaning of Passover into the idea of the new covenant. Some years we have emphasized the blood covenant in the OT as a type of Christ. But this year I want to talk about the actual day in which Jesus road into Jerusalem for what has become known as “Palm Sunday.” It is a very significant event – and we need to understand what it is all about.

As we go through this week, leading up to Resurrection Sunday, don’t forget about our Good Friday service at 7:00 pm. We will be focusing on the sacrifice made on our behalfon the cross. We have decided this year to add this service to help us keep our eyes on the real meaning of Easter. Invite someone to attend with you. And don’t forget – two services on Resurrection Sunday morning (8:30 & 10:45) with a light brunch in between. – Pastor KIrk

The Importance of Lord’s Supper– April 13th
We will be observing the Lord’s Supper this morning. This is the commemoration and proclamation of Jesus Christ’s death. It is representative of the sacrifice of Christ. This time should always be preceded by solemn self-examination (1 Corinthians 11:28-32).

Resurrection Sunday and Brunch – April 20th
Next Sunday, April 20 is Resurrection Sunday. Please join us for service at 8:30 or 10:45. We will also have a brunch in the Fellowship Hall at 10am. Let’s remember the amazing sacrifice our Lord made on our behalf and celebrate His Resurrection! Who will you invite to this special day?

Read Through the Bible in 2014
The elders and deacons would like to challenge you to make a commitment to read through the Bible in 2014. You might want to consider getting the MacArthur Daily Bible or some other Bible plan to help you with this. You also might benefit from someone who will agree to hold you accountable, but this is a worthy goal for the New Year.
