Women’s Ministry

The Women’s Ministry at PBC is called Women of the Word (WOW) because it’s designed to equip women with the principles found in Titus 2:3-5Titus 2:3-5

3 and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good; ⁴ that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, ⁵ to be sober-minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God’s word may not be blasphemed.

WP-Bible plugin. We believe diligent study of the Word of God results in right thinking, which leads to right actions and right attitudes. It’s only through obedience to God’s revealed will found in His Word that we, as women, can learn to live in a way that is pleasing and honoring to the Lord.

We place such a high priority on God’s Word, therefore our primary WOW activity is our weekly Bible Study on Tuesdays at 9:00am at the church, however we take the summer months off. Our desire during this time is to grow and mature in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and to encourage each other with issues that we, as women specifically, are faced with in our daily lives. By gathering together as women, we hope to cultivate and build faithful, purposeful and lasting relationships with other women in the church. We seek to encourage women to be passionate about advancing His kingdom.

In addition to the equipping aspects of the WOW ministry, we also provide service opportunities such as the monthly Worship in Action where we perform cleaning and maintenance projects at the church. We also have many opportunities for fellowship and encouragement through gatherings such as coffees in someone’s home as well as bigger events like Craft ‘til You Drop.

We encourage every woman at PBC to be involved in the WOW ministry.
